BOSSES CHANGE THE RULES Boss encounters introduce mechanics that disrupt your strategy and force you to adapt on the fly. Every few stages, the game changes. Here are 3 bosses that you will encounter in runs: Pattern Breaker - The cooldown for pieces is increased by 4 Frozen Knights - All knights are frozen and they cannot move The Orderbound - You can only move your pieces in this order (except Queens and Kings): Bishop, Pawn, Rook, Knight HIGH RISK - HIGH SCORE Choose King Challenges that apply permanent drawbacks for the entire run. The harder the challenge, the greater the reward.
