Independent Engineering: Our Own Custom Engine To make a game with these characteristics possible, commercial tools on the market simply fell short. We needed absolute memory control and parallel processing (multithreading) capabilities to load videos in real-time and generate text dynamically. For this reason, at Soul Shell, we developed our own engine from scratch using C++ and the following open-source libraries: SFML for multimedia management. LlamaCpp for the efficient execution of local Large Language Models (LLMs). DearImgui for a clean, optimized development interface.
